Garmin Approach G5 Review

No matter how good or bad we are at golf we are always looking for something that will enable us to lower our scores even if it is only one or two shots a round. What we wear can affect our mood as Tiger Woods has shown by wearing specific colors on different days of a tournament. A new driver, putter or pair of golf shoes can have an impact on how well or badly we play. If we are lucky enough to have a full time caddy like Tiger we probably wouldn't need to consider the latest addition to the golfer's arsenal - the golf global positioning system.

If you are considering acquiring a golf gps then you could consider the Garmin Approach G5 GPS-Enabled Golf Handheld which allows the keen golfer to know precisely how far he has driven his ball and importantly the distance required for the next shot. Apart from this very important feature there are many other functions built in to the Garmin Approach G5 which we will cover in this hub.

The Garmin Approach G5 has only one button which is used to turn it on so nothing could be simpler! The G5 uses two AA batteries which last for up to 15 hours of usage and are easy to install.

As most golfers accept they must play in all weathers if they are to play regularly the G5 has been built to be both water proof and rugged in design.

After you switch on your G5 you will see a screen with two options Play and Preview. The settings icon is the spanner in the right hand bottom corner. Here you have various options including setting up the G5 for distances in meters or yards
